UPDATE ON TUCKER. Tucker has finished up with all of his heartworm treatments. He is ready to be adopted and go to his forever home. Tucker has been a real trooper through all of it. He is one touch cookie and completely enjoys life! Tucker is Kid f and cat riendly and has a silly habit of flipping his food bowls over. Tucker is a male bassett/lab mix who is 3 yrs old and weighs 35 lbs. He was rescued a few days ago from this horrible environment. His "owners" moved and left him chained to his dog house to fend for himself = slow painful death. He now is in the loving care of all the volunteers at PCHS. Tucker is heartworm positive and he had 2 shots in his spine in the last 2 days to kill the heartworms. These treatments are extensive and painful not to mention expensive. But it's worth it to save such a sweet soul. One of God's creatures. I had the privilege and honor to care for him last night. Yes, his first night ever in a warm Shelter, with a warm bed, good dog food, fresh water, treats and toys. Even though he was living in such conditions he has not given up on humans. We shared hugs and squeezes and kisses. I think he kinda liked it.
